MEWS now participating in EBB

MEWS is now participating in the FCC Emergency Broadband Benefit in providing a discount up to $50 per month towards broadband service for eligible households. Eligible customers must fit one of the following criteria:

  • Qualify for the Lifeline Program, including those who are on Medicaid or receive SNAP benefits
  • Receive benefits under the free and reduced– price school lunch program.
  • Experienced a substantial documented loss of income since February 29, 2020.
  • Meet the eligibility criteria for a participating provider’s existing low-income or COVID-19 program.


To apply visit the website https://www.fcc.gov/broadbandbenefit. Once the application is complete and approved contact MEWS by one of the following:

 

The program will be available until the funds are depleted or six months after the COVID-19 health pandemic ends.
